Tempat SLK terms of use

These terms apply to the Tempat SLK app, published by Equinox Software Pty Ltd (trading as Tempat), ABN 71 700 555 746 ("we", "us"). By using the app you agree to them.

The app is free, and provided as is

Tempat SLK is free. We provide it "as is", without promising that it will always be available, free of errors, or suitable for a particular purpose.

SLKs are indicative

The road, SLK and position shown by the app are calculated from your phone's GPS position and the Main Roads Western Australia road network. They depend on your GPS signal and on how current the road data is, and they can be wrong. You are responsible for checking any location that matters, such as one used in a traffic management plan, an approval or a report, against Main Roads Western Australia's official records.

Whether a stamped photo meets a particular requirement, such as a code of practice or a client's specification, is for you and the reviewer to decide. We do not represent that it does.

Road data

The road network is Main Roads Western Australia open data, licensed under CC BY 4.0. The Commissioner of Main Roads is the creator and owner of the data. Tempat converted it to GDA2020 and repackaged it for the app. Tempat SLK is not affiliated with or endorsed by Main Roads Western Australia.

Our liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the app or from relying on what it shows, including indirect or consequential loss.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where our liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee can lawfully be limited, it is limited to supplying the app again.

Your use

Use the app lawfully, and never in a way that distracts you while driving or working near traffic. Don't attempt to misuse the app or our update service, or to present a photo as taken at a place or time other than where and when it was taken.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms. The current version is always at slk.tempat.com.au/terms. These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia.
